RENK is seeking a talented Testing Engineer/Operator to join our team in the Middle East, based in Abu Dhabi. As a vital member of our organization, you will work in an ONSITE environment, playing a crucial role in testing repaired and overhauled gearboxes to ensure optimal performance and operational lifespan in line with our stringent protocols.
Responsibilities
Conduct stand and test runs on gearboxes to identify errors both before and after repairs/installation.
Operate test benches, diagnostic equipment, and specialized tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Prepare comprehensive documentation and test reports to support commercial handling of repairs and installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in electronic and mechanical systems using strong analytical skills.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to support testing and repair activities.
Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers for smooth communication throughout the testing process.
Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and procedures.
Must have requirements
Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field, or completed vocational training as a skilled worker (e.g., mechatronics or automotive technician).
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in mechanical repair, technical roles, or with gearboxes/engines, preferably related to the defense sector.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting test equipment and diagnostic tools.
Ability to understand the functionality of mechanical components and apply this knowledge in a hands-on environment.
Familiarity with technical documentation, list creation, and reporting using standard PC tools, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
Basic English language skills to communicate with customers, colleagues, and vehicle manufacturers.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-based environment.
Strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Nice to have requirements
Experience with gearboxes or engines specifically used in the defense sector.
Background in a manufacturing environment, especially in assembly or machine operation.
Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills in complex mechanical and electronic systems.
Hands-on experience with specialized tools for mechanical repair and testing.
